Justice-Quebec.ca is taking a new step forward. Two sections are launching simultaneously to meet the growing needs of our readers: one that highlights meaningful actions taken each month by those who make a real difference, and one that references the trusted professionals and organizations we direct our readers toward.

Over the past few months, Justice-Quebec.ca has been receiving more and more messages from readers — citizens looking for a lawyer to turn to, a notary for the paperwork that requires one, an organization to support them, or simply a reliable resource in a moment where they feel alone facing a system that overwhelms them.

At the same time, we know that every week in Quebec, remarkable gestures are being made by professionals, social workers, notaries, lawyers, and organizations who choose to make the law more human — often quietly, without expecting recognition. Those gestures exist. We want them to have a place where they can be named.

Both of these realities deserved their own space. That is why the platform is opening two new complementary sections today, designed to serve both those who give and those who seek.

Good Deeds of the Month

The first section — Good Deeds of the Month — highlights, each month, the actors who stand out through concrete engagement toward the citizens most exposed to the system: self-represented individuals, neurodivergent persons, or anyone simply left alone to face institutions that don't always make room for them.

A law firm that runs a free workshop for families in distress. A community organization that continues, day after day, to equip the most vulnerable. A professional order that makes real decisions to improve access to justice. A social worker who accompanies families well beyond her regular hours. These gestures exist. They deserve to be named.

Lead by example. Recognizing what is done well, to remind everyone that the system isn't only about criticism — there are also, everywhere, people doing their work with heart.
An entirely free section

Being featured in Good Deeds of the Month carries no fee whatsoever. This is not an advertising space, nor a commercial partnership. It is an editorial recognition, freely given, to spotlight initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of citizens.

We therefore invite citizens, legal professionals, mental health professionals, social workers, community organizations, and anyone who has witnessed a meaningful gesture to contact us. Whether you've seen a remarkable action, or you are yourself involved in an initiative that helps those who don't always have the means or the capacity to understand the system — be it judicial, administrative, or institutional — reach out to us.

Trust and References Page

The second section — Trust and References — responds to a question that comes back again and again in our exchanges with readers: who can I turn to with confidence?

Our readers ask us for referrals. Notaries, lawyers, organizations, intervention workers, specialized services. Actors who have demonstrated, through concrete gestures, their engagement toward the community. That is why this page exists, and that is why it is, in our eyes, just as important as the first.

The page's categories
  • Health, accompaniment and intervention
  • Legal professionals
  • Services and practical resources
  • Experts & voices of authority

Each of these categories responds to a specific need: supporting those going through difficult moments, orienting readers toward trusted legal professionals, offering practical services that simplify procedures, or giving voice to those whose expertise helps readers understand the system from within.

A call to professionals and organizations

If you believe your work, your values, and your engagement toward the community belong in one of these categories — if you take care of your clients, if you are attentive to people in their most vulnerable moments, if you believe that doing your work also means reaching out — we need you.

Our readers are looking for people they can trust. We want to be able to point them in your direction.

Write to us. Tell us about your work. We take the time to meet every person, every organization, every firm before adding them to this page.

Why these two sections matter

Justice-Quebec.ca was born from a simple observation: too many people find themselves alone facing a system they don't understand. The platform first responded with information — practical guides, judicial news, investigative files. But information alone isn't enough. People also need to know where to turn. People also need to be able to name what is being done well.

These two new sections are complementary: one recognizes, the other orients. One says: here is what is possible. The other says: here are those already doing it.

A word to those who recognize themselves

If you have practiced this work for years with the conviction that no one should be left behind, if you give your time to those who cannot afford to pay, if you accompany without judgment — this platform was built so that people like you can be found.

Our readers are looking for you. Make yourself known.
